Say YES to the RIGHT shoe!

Spring is in the air, and so is wedding season. Here at Lords, we love helping brides find their sole-mate. If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed on what shoes to wear, here are a few tips to help you find the perfect pair.

It’s your wedding day so unquestionably you are going to want a beautiful shoe, but don’t knock comfort out of the park either. You’re going to be pulling a long shift and there are classier ways than ending your night as barefoot bride. We have evening and bridal shoes of every height, so consider what height heel you will be comfortable in and spend time walking in them before your big day.

If you have particularly sensitive feet, or if you’re looking for maximum comfort, you may want to consider wearing a leather shoe over a satin one. Leather has the advantage of being able to stretch and mould to your feet while satin is a more static fit.

Bring a swatch of your fabric along with you if you’re hoping to match the colour of your dress to your shoe, but don’t limit yourself to the possibility of having a little (or a lot) of fun with your shoe colour. Metallic shoes are some of our most popular; if your dress is ivory or a cream white, think warm golds or champagne. For a true white, silver or pewter work best.

And if you’re going to be standing outside and worried about those little heels getting stuck in the grass, never fear – pick up a pair of sole-mates when you purchase your shoes.
